The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, July 2, 37 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 106 thousand 124.

349 remain hospitalized and 208 suspects.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 21 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 97 thousand 395 (99.2%) recovered patients. 141 active cases were confirmed, 138 of them with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 14 cases were identified, 13 autochthonous and 1 imported. Cases were reported in nine of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

For COVID-19, 2,429 samples were studied, resulting in 37 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 969 thousand 585 samples carried out and one million 106 thousand 124 positives.

Of the 37 confirmed, 30 were contacts of confirmed cases, and 7 with a source of infection abroad.

Of the female sex 16, and of the male 21. In the Intensive Care, 3 confirmed patients are cared for, one of them critical, and two serious.

Two (5.4%) asymptomatic cases are reported, accumulating a total of 147,073, which represents 13.3%.

The 37 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 19; from 20 to 39, 9; from 40 to 59, 3; and 60 and over, 6 cases.

Until this July 2, Cuba reports a case fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.15% of the world, and 1.69% of the Americas.
