The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, June 24, 21 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 105 thousand 896.

280 remain hospitalized and 168 suspects.

To date, 8,529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 13 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 97 thousand 996 (99.2%) recovered patients. 112 active cases were confirmed, all with stable clinical course.

In Havana, 10 cases were identified, 9 autochthonous and 1 imported. Cases were reported in six of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

For COVID-19, 2,149 samples were studied, resulting in 21 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 952 thousand 205 samples carried out and one million 105 thousand 896 positives.

Of the 21 confirmed cases, 15 were contacts of confirmed cases, 5 with a source of infection abroad, and 1 without specifying.

Of the female sex 13, and of the male 8. No serious or critical cases are reported

19% (4) cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 147,045, which represents 13.3%.

The 21 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 10; from 20 to 39 5, from 40 to 59, 4, and from 60 and over 2 cases.

As of June 24, Cuba reports a fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.16% of the world, and 1.71% of the Americas.
