The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, June 20, 17 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 105 thousand 7958.

268 remain hospitalized and 180 suspects.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 16 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 97 thousand 119 (99.2%) recovered patients. 88 active cases were confirmed, 87 of them with stable clinical course.

In Havana, 8 cases were identified, 7 autochthonous and 1 imported. Cases were reported in six of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

For COVID-19, 2,193 samples were studied, resulting in 17 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 943 thousand 016 samples carried out and one million 105 thousand 795 positives.

Of the 17 confirmed cases, 10 were contacts of confirmed cases, 6 with a source of infection abroad, and 1 without specifying.

Of the female sex 11, and of the male 6. A patient is reported serious.

11.2% (2) cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 147,025, which represents 13.3%.

The 25 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 9; from 20 to 39, 6, and from 40 to 59, 2 cases.

As of June 20, Cuba reports a fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.16% of the world, and 1.71% of the Americas.
