The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, June 19, 25 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 105 thousand 778.

257 remain hospitalized and 170 suspects.

To date, 8,529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 15 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 97 thousand 103 (99.2%) recovered patients. 87 active cases were confirmed, 86 of them with stable clinical course.

In Havana, 11 cases were identified, 10 autochthonous and 1 imported. Cases were reported in six of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Hill – 5

October Tenth – 1

Eastern Havana – 1

San Miguel del Padrón – 1

For COVID-19, 2,928 samples were studied, resulting in 24 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 940 thousand 823 samples carried out and one million 105 thousand 778 positives.

Of the 25 confirmed cases, 20 were contacts of confirmed cases and 5 with a source of infection abroad.

Of the feminine sex 15, and of the masculine 10. A patient is reported serious.

8% (2) cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 147,023, which represents 13.3%.

The 25 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 11; from 20 to 39, 6; from 40 to 59, 4, and from 60 and over, 4 cases.

As of June 19, Cuba reports a fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.17% of the world, and 1.71% of the Americas.
