4 of the 17 new positives for Covid-19 in Cuba are identified in the capital

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, June 15, 17 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 105 thousand 681.

902 remain hospitalized; 771 suspects, and 43 under surveillance.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 25 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 97 thousand 005 (99.2%) recovered patients. 88 active cases were confirmed, all with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 4 cases were identified, 3 autochthonous and one imported. Cases were reported in four of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Orange Creek – 1

October Tenth – 1

Eastern Havana – 1

Parrot – 1

For COVID-19, 4,452 samples were studied, resulting in 17 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 927 thousand 351 samples carried out and one million 105 thousand 681 (7.9%) positive.

Of the 17 confirmed cases, 14 were contacts of confirmed cases and 3 with a source of infection abroad.

Of the feminine sex 9, and of the masculine 8. There are no reports of serious or confirmed critical patients admitted to the Intensive Care of the country.

11.8% (2) cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 147,011, which represents 13.3%.

The 17 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 6; from 20 to 39, 3; from 40 to 59, 4, and from 60 and over, 4 cases.

As of June 15, Cuba reports a fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.17% of the world, and 1.72% of the Americas.
