There is a real will of the Government to listen and advise the new economic actors so that the projects that are created boost the economy, Betsy Díaz Velázquez, Minister of Domestic Trade, assured this Friday at the II Productive Economic Conference 2022, which will take place until next June 14.

Lala Cuban News Agency reports that the head of the sector, from the headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Trade (Mincin), led the meeting with the economic actors of the country by videoconference, within the scope of that conclave that ponders the exchanges of those subjects with agencies to remove possible obstacles.

According to the minister, the intention prevails to meet with the economic actors, and in particular, to eliminate the bureaucracy that hinders their development, which are inconceivable in the midst of so many other difficulties with objective causes.

Regarding the Mercabal wholesale markets for sale to non-state management forms, he explained that they are present in 16 territories and have contracts with 158 non-agricultural cooperatives (CNA) and more than 16 thousand self-employed workers, however, the dissatisfactions They lie in the supply deficit, since the products arrive according to the monthly availability of the producers and the Central Balance.

Yamili Aldama Valdés, deputy head of the Ministry of Tourism, an organization that also participated in the debate, asserted that the development of the sector depends in turn on the new economic actors, because as these advances, new clients will be attracted who will enjoy accommodation offers and extra-hotel, state and non-state.

Presidents of CNA and partners of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) from the gastronomy and accommodation services activities exposed the main problems they have had since their constitution.

The concern of how to offer services and products at affordable prices if they must buy most of the inputs in Freely Convertible Currency (MLC), after acquiring foreign currency in the informal market at a high rate, was reiterated in the interventions.

The economic actors insisted on the need to obtain basic raw materials for the preparation of foods such as salt and sugar, without ignoring the current context of shortages.

Likewise, the lack of preparation to establish contracts with companies and make the productive chains effective and the lack of orientation of the municipal organisms linked to the constitution of the new actors, in addition to the fact that the country's policies are well defined and regulated in legal norms, were other arguments heard from Villa Clara, Cienfuegos and Havana.

Although the meeting included the participation of officials from the Mincin and the Mintur, the intense debate raised issues that involve other bodies, and in this sense the need to analyze, due to the real dynamics of the economy, extend the tax exemption period, benefit provided to MSMEs in their incorporation process.

The representatives of the economic actors agreed that, despite the obstacles, the purpose of state and non-state forms is the same: to guarantee Cuba's progress for the well-being of all.
