Identifican en la capital 5 de los 27 nuevos positivos a la Covid-19 en Cuba

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, June 7, 27 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 105 thousand 517.

946 remain hospitalized; 806 suspects, and 33 under surveillance.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 24 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 96 thousand 822 (99.2%) recovered patients. 107 active cases were confirmed, of which 105 (98.1%) with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 5 cases were identified, 4 of them autochthonous and one imported. Cases were reported in five of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Eastern Havana – 1

Old Havana – 1

Beach – 1

Lisa – 1

October Tenth – 1

For COVID-19, 3,699 samples were studied, resulting in 27 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 896 thousand 398 samples carried out and one million 105 thousand 517 positives.

Of the 27 confirmed cases, 17 were contacts of confirmed cases, 7 with a source of infection abroad and 3 with an unspecified source.

13 females and 14 males. One patient is reported as serious and the other as critical.

44.4% (12) cases were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 146,994, which represents 13.3%.

The 27 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 10; from 20 to 39, 6; from 40 to 59 years old, 6, and from 60 and over, 5 cases.

As of June 7, Cuba reports a fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.18% of the world, and 1.73% of the Americas.
