Havana with 8 of the 30 new positives for Covid-19 in Cuba

The official part of the Ministry of Public Health reports that at the close of yesterday, June 2, 30 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 105 thousand 419.

One thousand 175 remain hospitalized; 984 suspects, and 27 under surveillance.

To date, 8 thousand 529 deaths have been reported (none of the day) and 36 medical discharges were given (of the day), accumulating one million 96 thousand 667 (99.2%) recovered patients. 164 active cases were confirmed, all with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 8 cases were identified, all autochthonous. Cases were reported in seven of the 15 capital municipalities, with the following distribution:

Orange Creek – 2

Cattle Dogs – 1

Hill – 1

The Smooth – 1

Beach – 1

Revolution Square – 1

San Miguel del Padrón – 1

For COVID-19, 4,273 samples were studied, resulting in 30 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 878 thousand 428 samples carried out and one million 105 thousand 419 positives.

Of those confirmed, 28 were contacts of confirmed cases, and 1 with a source of infection abroad and 1 not specified.

Of the female sex 18, and of the male 12. There are no confirmed serious or critical cases in Intensive Care.

10% (3) of the 30 positives were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 146,977, which represents 13.3%.

The 30 diagnosed belong to the age groups: under 20 years old, 12; from 20 to 39, 8; none from 40 to 59 years, and from 60 and over, 10 cases.

As of June 2, Cuba reports a fatality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.18% of the world, and 1.74% of the Americas.
