Havana will host the XXI Summit of Heads of State and Government of ALBA-TCP

Leaders from Latin America and the Caribbean, members of this integration platform of the countries of the Latin America and the Caribbean region, will participate in the conclave.

The XXI Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Peoples' Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) will take place on Friday, May 27, in Havana.

Prensa Latina informs that leaders from Latin America and the Caribbean who are members of this mechanism will participate in the event with the purpose of sharing common development strategies and analyzing the regional political situation.

Founded in 2004 at the initiative of Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez, then presidents of Cuba and Venezuela, ALBA-TCP is an integration platform for the countries of the Latin American and Caribbean region, which places special emphasis on solidarity, complementarity, justice and collaboration, as an essential strategy in the fight against social exclusion.
