With the participation of artists from various countries of the world and young representatives of Cuban alternative music, a new edition of the Havana World Music Festival (HWM) will be held in Havana from May 26 to 28.

After two years without being able to hold the event in person due to COVID-19, the central venue of the event will take place at Club 500, the former José Antonio Echeverría Social Circle.

Cuban News Agency (ACN) specifies that among the invited international artists are Tóke (Germany), Waahli (Canada), Bim Bum Balaton (Italy) and Rommel (Brazil), who will share the stage with young Cuban groups that have won previous editions. of the First Base contest of the HWM.

It also announces that the singers and composers Carlos Varela and X Alfonso will perform live and will give their audience songs from their most recent phonograms.

He informs that the tickets to attend the central concerts will be on sale the same days of the festival at the venue where the central stage is located at 200 cup on the 26th and on the 27th and 28th at 250 cup, and for students they will have a price preferential 100 and 150 cup compared to the aforementioned.

For her part, Eme Alfonso, director of the HWM, according to ACN, stated that tickets can also be obtained at the music houses belonging to the Recording and Musical Editions Company (EGREM), in the main faculties of the University of Sciences Medical and the University of Havana, as well as buying spaces online through the website www.havanatur.cu.

According to this medium, the Cuban Art Factory will receive the theoretical section of the festival and also the Showcase of the shortlisted artists of the First Base 2022, which will take place this Tuesday at six in the afternoon with free admission to the public.

In this meeting they will be presented by the section of Dj Producer: Landeep, Eddy Clash and Kokuzzo; Minor Category: Lora Hoava, Amanda Quiñones, Jharby; Senior Category: Alexzoez and Wizzo SanFer, ASHE, Azilem, Kadir and Liana Milanés.
