From May 24 to 26, the III International Food Fair Cuba 2.0 will be held at the Pabexpo fairgrounds in Havana.

According to Radio Rebelde, the event, sponsored by the Cuban Ministry of the Food Industry and the Barcelona Fair, returns after two years without being held due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The main objective of the traditional meeting will be to promote food production with the participation of new actors in the Cuban economy and state companies.

Manuel Santiago Sobrino, minister of the branch, explained to the press that this third edition seeks to advance the Food Sovereignty and Nutritional Education Plan, as well as the availability of food in the country, and counteract the impact of the world economic crisis on that field.

He declared that an important group of the more than 500 micro, small and medium-sized companies approved and linked to the sector will participate, as a way of supporting them on their way to the different phases of their establishment, concludes this medium.
