Attention to evacuees and families of those missing in Saratoga hotel accident is the priority

In the morning hours, the Institute of Forensic Medicine reported 35 deaths (20 men-15 women); 34 of them have already been identified.

At this moment, 23 people remain in hospital: 7 critical, 6 serious and 10 in care. Of the total number of admissions, 5 are children: 3 critical, 1 serious and 1 in care. None of them were students of the damaged elementary school.

During this day, work continues on the reconstruction of the affected buildings.

At the same time, the families of the missing and deceased are being attended to, as well as those who remain in hospital.

The attitude of the MININT ( Ministry of Interior) combatants carrying out rescue and rescue work, the Red Cross volunteers, the PNR ( Revolutionary National Police) and the performance of the builders and other forces working tirelessly at the site of the disaster were highlighted.

 The meeting was also headed by the First Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, and the Governor of Havana, Reinaldo García Zapata.
