Cuba thanks Lebanon for its sanitary donation

Solidarity friends from Lebanon donated sanitary materials to the island to contribute to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Granma International reports that the head of Cuba's diplomatic mission in that sister nation expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Caribbean people and government.

According to Prensa Latina, the diplomat recalled the gesture of solidarity of Lebanese graduate students and Cuban residents, who sent 87,000 syringes, 2,600 masks and 1,000 gloves to Cuba.

He also explained that the arrival of the humanitarian shipment coincided with the closing of the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, which summoned more than 1,000 delegates from 60 nations.

According to PL, Alexander Pellicer, director of North Africa and the Middle East of the Cuban Foreign Ministry, was present at the reception of the donation, together with executives of the trading company Importadora y Exportadora de Productos Médicos, Medicuba.
