The National Symphony will present a concert of French plays in Havana.

As part of the sixth edition´s program of the Month of the French Culture in Cuba, the National Symphony of this Caribbean country will offer a concert in the National Theater in the capital.

According to Radio Ciudad, the cultural  institution , placed on Paseo and 39 Ave. in Plaza de la Revolución, will welcome the attendants at 11 p.m. (local time).

The program-detailed Radio Ciudad- includes Maurive Ravel´s El Tumbeau de Couperin; author of remarkable interest for the audience due to his expertise on French baroque  and  musical rythms of past times.

César Franck´s ¨Symphony in Re Minor¨, one of the most influential musician of the last half of XIX century,  will be also presented.

Remy Ballot, orchestra director and violinist, resident in Austria since 2004, whose repertoire is made of baroque and contemporary styles , will be added to the features to be presented, organized with the collaboration of the Embassy of France in Havana and the French Alliance.

The sixth edition of the Month of the French Culture in Cuba will be developed until May 26, and will embrace  dance ,music and theater performances, cinematographic projections, fotographic exhibitions, fashion shows, literature, street art and conferences on a wide spectrum of themes.

Several French art proffessionals will be visiting Havana during the event. The personality list includes coreographer and actor Radhouane el Meddeb, founder of Compagnie de Soi; photographer Denis Darzacq; street artist Delphine Delas and theater director Didier Ruiz, with his Companie des Hommes.
