The Cuban Fund for Cultural Goods (FCBC) resumes this year one of its most awaited events: the National Crafts Fair Art for Mom, to be held between May 5 and 15, at the Havana Cultural Station Line and 18, in Vedado.

The traditional event, dedicated to mothers, comes at a difficult scenario for our women, after two years of confrontation with the COVID-19, which tested their resilience and creative capacity.

According to information from the FCBC, the current edition of Art for Mom will have the particularity that it will involve non-state management forms, which will be able to expand their reach and exchange directly with the public, being part of an attractive cultural and commercial action, according to the needs and characteristics of each territory.

In addition to the furniture, footwear, textile, goldsmithing and ceramics offerings, among others, a cultural program associated with handicrafts -such as fashion shows with items for sale at the stands- has been organized, in addition to children's activities and meetings with artists.

On the other hand, e-commerce will be promoted, in the form of payment through the QR code link, the promotion of the Virtual Store La Vitrina and the use of other online marketing platforms in which the FCBC is inserted.

According to the organizers, 133 stands are planned for this occasion, of which 114 will belong to creators, six will be institutional, three from other entities and ten will showcase the products of new forms of management.

The Line and 18 station will welcome the public between 10:00 and 18:00 (local time) every day, except on Sunday, May 8, coinciding with Mother's Day.
