The member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the National Assembly of the People´s Power led the conclusions after the visit made by the Secretary of the Cuban Parliament to the Convention Center of Cojimar, in the province of Havana.

Lazo pointed out, that just like in some other moments of our history, this May 1st, Havana will show throughout its streets and squares, the unity of its people who will march with steadiness in order to support the decision of keep building the Socialism.

This will be another opportunity to manifest the strength of the Cuban Revolution, the will for the defense or our homeland, with our souls, with our hearts, with the daily work and with life if it were necessary.

The President of the People´s Assembly stressed the importance of the visit carried out by the legislative body in order to assess the functioning of the body of the People´s Power system, as the base of our political system.

In that sense he endorsed the vanguard role of the Cuban youth through history and its current commitment with the Revolution´s work.

Meanwhile, Homero Acosta, secretary of the National Assembly, expressed that they were able to assess the results gotten from the organic process carried out in the capital, the attention paid to the elector´s opinion and to the complaints and request made by the people, just as the organization of the activities and planning of the work, among other issues.

During the days of the exchange, the dialogue with the delegates, presidents of the people´s council and the population of the neighborhood and communities of the capital was prioritized, in order to learn about they concern and opinion on this regard.

Likewise, the work displayed by the delegates in times of Covid-19 pandemic was recognized, just as the actions deployed in the transformation of neighborhood in Havana, while the commitment to perfection work done by the People´s Power was ratified.

Some of the main actions carried out in the province:

• The municipal assemblies in Havana were visited with the exception of the one from Arroyo Naranjo, due to problems associated to the Covid-19 pandemic.
• A meeting was held in every municipality with the board of each Municipal Assembly, on which intendents, presidents of the People´s Councils and Permanent Commissions of Work.
• 20 people´s council and neighborhood in transformation were visited and a dialogue with the delegates, communitarian working groups, directive of entities with local incidence and neighbors was established, on which more than 1100 people were contacted with.
• Several meeting were carried out in Diez de Octubre, Habana Vieja, La Lisa, Marianao, Playa and Plaza de la Revolución with groups of almost 30 delegates to learn about their consideration on work carried out in the integrated communitarian workshops, the attention to elector´s requests, the bond with the Municipal Assembly and other tasks that are being realized in the capital.

Homero Acosta, secretary of the National Assembly; Luis Antonio Tórrez Iríbar, first secretary of the PCC in Havana and Reinaldo García Zapata, Governor of Habana also attended to the meeting.

Vice-governor Yanet Hernández, the three chief of the Independent Department of Relations with Local Bodies of the People´s Power in the provinces of Villa Clara, Matanzas and Pinar del Río were also presents at the meeting.
