The official report of the Ministry of Public Health informs that at the end of yesterday, April 22, 266 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of one million 101 thousand 486.

A total of 4,165 cases remain hospitalized; 2,825 are suspected; and 39 are under surveillance.

To date, 8,523 deaths have been reported (none during the day) and 310 medical discharges (during the day), accumulating a total of 1,91,603 (99.1%) recovered patients. One thousand 301 active cases were confirmed, of which one thousand 280 with stable clinical evolution.

In Havana, 35 cases were identified, 32 autochthonous and three imported. Cases were identified in 14 of the 15 Havana municipalities, with the following distribution:

- Boyeros - 2

- Havana Center - 3

- Cerro - 3

- Cotorro - 2

- Diez de Octubre - 2

- Guanabacoa - 2

- East Havana - 3

- Old Havana - 3

- La Lisa - 1

- Beach - 5

- San Miguel del Padrón - 1

For COVID-19, 7,756 samples were studied, resulting in 266 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 659 thousand 484 samples taken and one million 101 thousand 486 (99.1%) were positive.

Of the confirmed cases, 256 were contacts of confirmed cases, 3 with a source of infection abroad and 7 with an unspecified source of infection.

There were 148 females and 118 males. 21 patients were in intensive care, of whom 11 were critical and 10 serious.

Of the 266 positive patients, 7.5 % (20) were asymptomatic, making a total of 146,694, representing 13.3 %.

Of the 266 diagnosed belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age, 122; from 20 to 39, 44; from 40 to 59 years of age, 37; and from 60 and over, 63 cases.

As of April 22, Cuba reports a lethality rate of 0.77% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.23% in the world and 1.78% in the Americas.
