42 of the 297 new positive Covid-19 cases in Cuba are from Havana.

The official report of the Ministry of Health , date don April 19th confirmed that, 297 new positive cases were diagnosed for a total amount of 1 101 609 cases.

4537 cases are hospital admitted, 3101 suspiciuos and 59 under medical surveillance.

To the date, 8522 deaths are reported(none of the day),393 medical discharges from the day , accumulating an amount of 1 090 651(99.1%) patients recovered. 1377 active cases were reported, 1353 with a clinical stable evolition.

42 cases, 41 of them native and 1 imported were identified in Havana. In the 15 municipalities were identified cases, with the following behavior:

Arroyo Naranjo and Habana del Este (5), Boyeros, Diez de Octubre and Playa(4), Cerro, Guanabacoa and Plaza de la Revolución(3), Habana Vieja, Cotorro and Marianao(2), La Lisa, San Miguel del Padrón and Regla(1).

7728 samples were run for Covid-19, 297 of them positive. The country accumulates 13 636 174 tested samples and 1 090 651 (99.1%) positive.

291 of the cases were contactof confirme dones; 3 of them with source of infection from abroad and 1 with unknown source of infection.

123 female cases and 144 males were confirmed. There are 24 patients in the Intensive Care Units, 16 of them critical and 8 seriously ill.

7% of the positive cases were asymptomatics for a total of 164 637 which represents 13.3%.

Of the 297 diagnosed cases , 118 are under 20 years of age; 59 from 20 to 39; 53 from 40 to 59 and 67 , over 60 years of age.

Up to this April 19th, 2022 Cuba reported a death rate of 0.77% of Covid -19 cases per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.23% of the world and the 1.78% of the Americas.
