56 new positive reported cases of Covid- 19 from the 402 new positive are from La Habana

The Ministry of Health´s web site informed that at the end of yesterday, April 15th,402 new positive cases were confirmed for a total of 1 099 444.

5659 patients remain in hospital admission,3724 suspicious and 60 under medical surveillance.

To date, 8520 deaths by coronavirus (1 belonging to the day) have been reported, and 1875 active cases of which 1847 with a stable clinical evolution; a total of 477(belonging to the day) patients were discharged from hospitals for a total of 1 088 990(99%) medical or epidemiological discharges.

56 cases were identified in the capital, 55 of them native and 1 imported. The 15 municipalities reported cases.

The most affected municipalities in Habana were Playa(9),Boyeros, Centro Habana,Diez de Octubre and Habana del Este(5), Regla and Cerro(4), Arroyo Naranjo, La Lisa and Marianao(3),San Miguel del Padrón(2),Habana Vieja, Cotorro and Guanabacoa(1).

9173 tests were studied for Covid- 19, 402 were positive samples, whether with PCR or by antigen. The country accumulates 13 608 052 analyzed samples of which 1 099 444 were positive.

Of the confirmed cases,386 people were contacts of confirmed cases,6 with source of infection from abroad and 10 with unknown source of infection.

There were 225 female and 177 male cases. 28 diagnosed patients remain in the Intensive Care Unit, of them 12 critical and 16 seriously ill. 

5.7% of the confirmed cases were asymptomatic, accumulating 146 563 cases which represents the 13,3%.

Of the 402 confirmed cases, 146 were under 20 years of age; 87 between 20 and 39; 77 between 40 and 59 and 92, over 60.

The death rate for Covid -19 in Cuba, in April 15th , 2022 is 0.77% per million inhabitants which is lower than the 1.24% for the world and the 1.78 % for the Americas region.
