1732. Santa María del Rosario town is founded in Havana.

Was one of the few county cities created by cont in Cuba. On April 4th, 1732 it was expedited by the Royal Cedule in favor of José Bayona Chacón, First Count of Bayona House. His main constructions were placed around the four streets that limited the Plaza de Armas, The Perish Church, The Barrack and the House of the Bayona Counts. The rest of the real states were

 

1868. José Marti writes at the age of 15 a poem called To Micaela.

A MICAELA. POEMA DE JOSÉ MARTÍ* |

 

It was dedicated to Micaela Nin, wife of Marti´s teacher Rafael María de Mendive. The poem was written by Marti after the death of the couple´s Little child. It was published days after in El Albúm newspaper which used to be distributed in Guanabacoa. In the poem the mourning that Micaela felt after her 1-year-son Miguel Ángel´s death is narrated .

The love and respect Marti felt for Mendive and his wife would be also reflected years later in several letters that the young writter would address to the man who had seed inside him the most beautiful patriotic feelings.
