The national ceremony for the Cuban Psychology Day took place in the Aula Magna of the University of Havana on the morning of April 13, in the presence of distinguished professionals in this field of studies, teachers and students, and with the evocation of the figure of Enrique José Varona, who was the architect of a significant work in the field of philosophy, sociology, psychology and education.

Jorge Enrique Torraballs-Oslé, President of the Cuban Society of Psychology, all the professionals of psychology on the island were recognized, especially the National Psychology Awards 2021.

Dr. C Marta Cañizares-Hernández, who received the national award for Lifetime Achievement in Cuban Psychology offered a few words to those present. "Psychology shows us the way, the need for alliances, inter-institutional collaborations, without them the road becomes more difficult," she said.

The National Society of Psychology was presented by the Ministry of Higher Education with a recognition of the work of all its professionals.

During the conclusions of the event, Ms.C. Jorge Enrique Torraballs Oslé, President of the Cuban Society of Psychology said "The Cuban Society of Psychology does not want to be spring, but a board on a violent sea. We congratulate all professionals, students and teachers for this day where we remember so many achievements".

As an artistic moment the DÚO NUEVE gave to the audience the best of their repertoire.

"The noble word is certainly a hint; the useful work is already a hope. But only love reveals - as with a flash of light - the beauty of a soul".
