There are 65 of 654 new Covid-19 positives in Cuba diagnosed in the capital city

The official report of the Ministry of Public Health informs that at the end of yesterday, April 6, 654 new positive cases of Covid-19 were confirmed, for a total of 1,95,006 (8.1%).

A total of 6,989 cases remain in hospital; 4,126 are suspected and 30 are under surveillance.

To date, 8,517 deaths have been reported (none during the day) and 814 medical discharges were given (during the day), accumulating 1,83,597 (99%) recovered patients. A total of 2,833 active cases were confirmed, of which 2,803 with stable clinical evolution.

 

In Havana, 65 cases were identified, of which 63 were autochthonous and two imported. Cases were identified in 14 of the 15 Havana municipalities, with the following distribution:

- Arroyo Naranjo - 3

- Boyeros - 7

- Havana Center - 1

- Cerro - 4

- Cotorro - 1

- Diez de Octubre - 6

- Guanabacoa - 6

- East Havana - 7

- La Lisa - 5

- Marianao - 4

- Playa - 12

- Revolution Square - 5

- San Miguel del Padrón - 3

For COVID-19, 11,958 samples were studied, resulting in 654 positive samples. The country accumulates 13 million 520 thousand 813 samples taken and 1 million 95 thousand 006 positive.

Of the confirmed cases, 633 were contacts of confirmed cases, 7 with a source of infection abroad, and 14 with an unspecified source of infection.

There were 368 females and 286 males. 30 patients were in intensive care, 9 of them critical and 21 serious.

Of the 654 positives, 4% (26) were asymptomatic, accumulating a total of 146,320, which represents 13.4%.

 

Of the 654 diagnosed belong to the following age groups: under 20 years of age, 222; from 20 to 39, 174; from 40 to 59 years of age, 99; and from 60 and over, 159 cases.

As of April 6, Cuba reports a lethality rate of 0.78% of Covid-19 per million inhabitants, lower than the 1.25% in the world and 1.79% in the Americas.
