Havana for an assembly of the Communist Party at the height of these times.

The first secretary of the provincial committee of the Communist Party of Cuba in Havana, Luis Antonio Torres Iribar, affirmed on Tuesday that the conditions are in place to hold an Assembly of that organization at the height of these times, reports Tribuna La Habana.

While making the conclusions of the ordinary meeting of the Temporary Working Group (GTT) in the city, the leader pointed out that work has been carried out over the last year to comply with the guidelines and directives of the 8th Party Congress, held in April 2021.

Torres Iribar specified that the transformations in the business system, the development of the territories, the work with the new generations and the confrontation to the ideological subversion have been the center of the party work in these 12 months and will be the central axes of the meeting of the capital militants, which will be held next Saturday.

The meetings by sectors and municipalities, and the exchange with the workers have strengthened the partisan action, and have given us elements for the conclave and, above all, for the future work of the organization and its close link with the masses, he expressed.

Regarding the municipal autonomy and the interrelation with the new economic actors, he highlighted the importance of the recently concluded Local Development Fair of Havana, as a sample of the expression in concrete facts of the guidelines of the 8th Congress.

This will be the Assembly of unity, resistance and the spirit of victory forged and bequeathed to us by the historic leader of the Revolution; that is why the meeting of the capital communists will be dedicated to Fidel, his example and his memory, stated Torres Iribar.
