The closure gala of the event took place this Saturday with the attendance of the First Secretary of the Communist Party and President of the Republic at the fairground Expocuba.

Tribuna de la Habana newspaper informed that to the event, which began last March 28 at Expocuba, 3142 exhibitors participated in representation of the 763 economic actors.

Yestarday Saturday, Diaz Canel visited some of the stands and held a dialogue with the exhibitors where they shared about the relevance and the gain that left this event as an outcome.

According to Tribuna de la Habana, 128 MSMEs presented their products, as well as 179 Local Development Projects, 17 Agricultural Cooperatives and 19 Non-Agricultural Cooperatives. 229 entrepeneurs , 39 creators  of the Fondo de Bienes Culturales, 7 Projects of International Collaboration and 118 State Companies which are chained with some other economic actors also exhibited their products and services.

It was highlighted that 34 import and export enterpresises attended and participated at the event. 1620 business deals were set among the actors or between them and the attendant enterprises.

It was pointed out that the event has been an academy for knowledged,  developed  and displayed through seven theoretical events and a scientific one called: The Universities and the Local Development, on which seven conferences were held.

The creation of capacities for the small companies´management , food manufacturing and nutritional cultura were some of the topics discussed  in the event.

The Award Gala was led by Yoel Queipo Ruiz, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Party, , Alejandro Gil Fernández, Ministry of Economy and Planning, Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, First Secretary of the Communist Party in the capital, and Reinalgo García Zapata, Governor of Havana. There were awarded two collateral Awards, Golden Medals, among other important awards that show the intense work carried out from the municipalities . Habana Vieja and Guanabacoa were the most awarded municipalities.

This Saturday morning, the President of the National Assembly of the Poeple´s Power (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, visited the exhibition areas, where he held a productive dialogue about the importance of boosting the local development from the municipalities.
