A Day of presentationes called Festival of the Guitar will occur in Havana from April 14 to 17.

The event, announced by the Center of Concert Music of the Cuban Institute of Music, will pay tribute to the centenaries of Ñico Rojas and César Portillo de la Luz, and the 50th aniversary of the founding of Movimiento de la Nueva Trova, informed Gramma.

Institutions like Basilica Menor de San Francisco de Asís, National Library José Martí and some other places linked to the Cuban Institute of Music, will host the activities developed for the event. They will also be extended to the community cultural centers attached to the ¨Musica de concierto: más cerca de ti…¨Project.

Among the guests-announced Prensa Latina- there will be Dúo Contrastes, Orquesta de Guitarra and Ensemble Solistas de la Habana,Orquesta de  Cámara de la Habana, directed by masters Iván Valiente and Daiana García who will be accompanied by artists  such as Joaquín Clerch and some other artists from other provinces.

The show called Guitar between two worlds will bring to the audience remembrances from Miguel Matamoros, Ñico Rojas, Sergio Vitier, Leo Brower and some outstanding songwriters and composers of the History of the Cuban Music.
