1903.   José Elías Entralgo Vallina is born in Havana.

Throughout his life he stood out as a great historian, publicist and pedagogue.  He also stood out as an essayist and carried out a fruitful work as a journalist.

He obtained the degrees of Doctor in Civil Law in 1927, in Public Law in 1929 and in Philosophy and Letters the following year at the University of Havana.

In the field of journalism, he edited the magazines Universidad de La Habana and Vida Universitaria, respectively, as well as being the editorial secretary of the magazine Revista Bimestre Cubano.   He published several books, among them, the Social History, volume four of Histories of the Cuban Nation, which was published in 1952. His work as literary critic, sociologist and historian was abundant.

He was a member of the Historical Sciences Section of the Ateneo de La Habana and of the Institute of Higher Studies of Cuba.

From 1959, after the triumph of the Revolution in Cuba, he again developed an active work as a pedagogue.

He also chaired the Cuban National Commission for UNESCO.

He died in Havana on September 4, 1966.

2011.   Eladio Rivadulla Martínez dies.

He was born on May 20, 1923 in Havana.

He graduated as a professor at the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts in 1943. His training as a draftsman, painter, designer, and publicist allowed him to initiate in Cuba the integral production of the first movie posters.

On January 1, 1959, he created and multiplied on his own initiative the first poster alluding to the triumph of the Revolution, Fidel Castro guerrilla, inspired by the image of the Commander in Chief.

He is recognized as the initiator of revolutionary graphics in Cuba.
