The International Congress of childhood, adolescent and youth will take place from March 29th to 30th at the Palacio de Convenciones in La Habana.

The meeting, which was organized by the Centro de Estudios sobre la Juventud (CESJ) and the Unión de Jóvenes Comunistas (UJC) has as main topic, the childhood, adolescents and youth pos-COVID-19: activism, social equity and justice and important national and international professors, students  and professionals. 

Radio Metropolitana reeported that, Keyla Rosa Estévez García, director of the  CESJ, explained that this is the most important event the institution carry on, and has an special space within the new policy about youth in the country. 

For the opening session a picture exhibition will be carried out, to honor the 60 anniversary of the UJC and the another on technology and robotics will be seen as well. Books and scientific magazines will be presented.   

Estévez García said that once the Congress is finished, they hope it does not die in this space, that it extends its knowledge to the universities and research centers and it promotes publications to become bibliography.

According to the media the meeting will be hold at Palacio de Convenciones in La Habana   and in the virtual mode as well to have the chance for a theorical- methodological debate about the studies developed in populations  and th have an academic discourse to improve public policies  to the development of young generations.  

Another objective is to acheive the structuring of permanent links for research among researchers and institutions dedicated to the work with children, adolescent and youth and to promote the functioning of the National network of researchers about Youth and its links with other networks and institutions related.
