33 of the 559 new Covid-19 positive cases diagnosed are from Havana.

The official report of the Ministry of Health informed that at the end of yesterday, March 15, 559 new Covid-19 positive cases were confirmed for a total amount of 1 078 525.

7649 people are in hospital admission, 5029 are suspicious and 29 under medical surveillance.

To the date there are 8503 reported deaths (none belonging to the day), 612 people were medically discharged for a total of 1 067 372 of recovered patients. 2591 active cases were confirmed of which 2577 with a stable evolution.

In Havana 33 cases were identified, all of them native. In 12 municipalities were identified cases, with the following distribution: Boyeros(3), Centro Habana(4), Cotorro(1),Diez de Octubre(2), Guanabacoa(2), Habana del Este(3),Havana Vieja(1),La Lisa(3),Marianao(2),Playa(6),Plaza de la Revolución(5) and San Miguel del Padrón(1).

11 240 samples were studied for Covid-19, 559 of them came out positive. The country accumulates 13 260 472 tested samples and 1 078 525 of them positive.

538 of the cases were contacts of confirmed ones, 1 with source of infection from abroad and 20 with unknown source of infection.

There were 300 female cases and 1259 males. There are 14 patients in the Intensive Care Unit, 7 of them serious and 7, critical.

6.1% of the 559 confirmed cases were asymptomatic, for a total of 145 563 which represents 13.5% of the confirmed ones to the date.

The 559 belong to the following range of age: 147 under 20 years of age; 154 from 20 to 49 years, 140 from 40 to 59 and 118 cases over 60 years of age.

Cuba reports, to the date, a death rate of 0.79% by million inhabitants, which is lower than the 1.32% of the world and the 1.78% of the Americas.
