As a transparent expression of the democracy that synthetizes life in this island, this Tuesday after the wide consultation process in the bases, the Ordinary Meeting of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party took place and its members analyzed and approved the report that will be summited to the criteria of the delegates of the Assembly of Balance of this political organization in the capital, which will take place next April 9, as part of the continuity of the 8th Congress of the Communist Party, with similar prior meetings that started in the bases and where the work carried out by the party in the municipality has been discussed.

The attendants to the meeting thoroughly evaluated the document, whose content gathers what has been done and what must be done in the implementation of the arrangements, concepts and regulations, which were the result of that Magnum Event, occurred a year ago. The document includes a critical evaluation of the most important aspects of the life of the organization, the economic and social work done in the territory, through the perspective of the influence it has.

After welcoming the full attendance of the participants, Torres Iríbar explained that the report of the Balance had been approved, just as a draft, due to it will continue be evaluated and submitted to the opinion of the militancy and the people until reaching its final version, prior to the Balance.

In a second moment, the members of the Committee, taking into account a proposal made by the maximum leadership of the Party, approved to release of Yuniasky Crespo Baquero from her position on the Political-Ideological arena, who will be promoted to new responsibilities. By a show of hands, the members unanimously confirmed the proposal for Alain Delcourt López, who until recently served as first secretary of the Party in La Lisa, to fill the vacancy left by Baquero.

Juan Carlos Arteaga was also introduced at the meeting as the person who will be in charge of the political, economic and social life of the Party in the municipality.

In favor of leadership and merits, and qualities that distinguish the three young cadres, Torrez Iríbar in first place, and then Hernández Suárez, spoke on their behalf and their statements were supported by many interventions made by members of the Committee.

The farewell organized for Crespo Baquero was very emotional, who received on behalf of the Provincial Committee an acknowledgement diploma and a gorgeous painting with the image of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, artistically simulating Cervantes’s character of El Quijote.

Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, first secretary of the Provincial Committee headed the meeting, in which also participated Humberto Camilo Hernández Suárez, chief of the Organization and cadre Policy Department of the Central Committee, and some other functionaries of the of the same structure of direction.

After explaining that, under the aim of being studied, the members would present an 8th version of the document and would have the chance of adding furthers considerations in later days. The analysis was led by Yuniasky Crespo Baquero from which several propositions of modifications came out both in form and content.
