¨In order to make journalism, first we must be good people¨ I remember this phrase from professor and a great journalist Roger Ricardo Ruiz, in the first lesson of the course. And this is because personal and professional enhancement of those who practice this occupation, so called the fourth power by many, depends on that. 

Today we congratulate those responsible for the growth of the Cuban Press and do the public opinion through the contrast of sources, the consecration of the exercise, and show aptitudes and attitudes that dignified Journalism in the island.

Ethic, to stick to the truth and a critical journalism interested on providing solutions to social issues should be a premise in this times of disinformation, where social networks have grown credibility in the most various publics.

We have a lot to accomplish, still, mostly because the media agenda seems to be much like our times, much like Cuba and its people, but we are on our way, that would be fully completed if we keep working on, using more and more tools, offering analysis and going deeper through all kind of journalism we put into practice on each news room.

Congratulation colleagues in this March 14th, Day of the Cuban Press and when we paid tribute to the 130 years since the Patria newspaper was founded, this publication of the Apostol that carries as its title the whole sense of our press.
