Concacaf President arrived in Havana

The head of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF), Víctor Montagliani, was received this Sunday by Roberto León Richards, president of the Cuban Olympic Committee (COC), at the José Martí International Airport.

Accompanying Montagliani were Mario Leal, head of member associations and the president's office; Mario Monterrosa, director of member associations for North and Central America; and Nidia Mercado, Concacaf protocol manager.

The head of the Cuban Football Association (AFC), Oliet Rodríguez Méndez; the director of international relations of Inder, Gisleydi Sosa, and other officials of this universal sport also greeted the visiting delegation, reports Jit.

During the working visit, Montagliani will carry out an intense program that includes conversations with the highest authorities of the Cuban Sports Movement and with members of the AFC. Among the topics of interest is the increase of bilateral collaboration.

According to Jit, Rodríguez Méndez considered the visit of Concacaf's leadership very important, since both parties will have the possibility of strengthening collaboration that would allow the development of the sport on the island.
