A draft law to reinforce constitutional rights presented to the Cuban Parliament.

The Supreme Court (Tribunal Supremo Popular (TSP) gave the Parliament of Cuba the Constitutional Rights Process Act this Saturday, which extends the possibility of Cuban citizens of claiming rights before court.

As Prensa Latina reports this strong legal provision is the result of several specialized valuations which brings the tribunals to know about issues which did not have that treatment as the president of TSP, Rubén Remigio Ferro reported.

The leader of the Asamblea Nacional del Poder Popular (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, expressed that the law, a popular benefit one, will also demand the analysis of the representatives and the people in general and consolidates Cuba as a Socialist State of rights and social justice.

According to José Luis Toledo, president of the parliamentarian group regarding Constitutional and Legal Affairs of the legislative body, This Project reinforces the guarantees and respect to the rights in the country, at the same time it helps the constitutional control.

The Parliament informed that Ana María Mari Machado, vice-president of the Asamblea Nacional, and Farah Maritza Saucedo Pérez, vice-president of TSP, were also in the meeting.
