The Coordinator of the Government of Havana, Orestes Llanes Mestre, reported, today, March 11, through Twitter (@OrestesLlanes) that "...the decision of the Panamanian government to grant a period of Grace of 72 more hours, from Sunday 3/13/22 at 12 am, until Tuesday 3/15/22 at 23:59 pm This will allow all citizens of Cuban nationality, passengers or crew members to travel in transit through the territory of the Republic of Panama to another destination or return to Cuba, without the need to present the transit visa referred to in Executive Decree No.19. Efforts continue to see how much more the solution can be made viable of this situation, while it has been reported that the airline COPA has provided facilities for people to rearrange their tickets, which many have already done. We recognize that passengers, despite having been affected, have maintained discipline and they have ac tied the recommendations that the Government of the capital has been transferring during all these days. As a country, we have been making arrangements. Our fellow citizens are affected. We are trying to make it a fair decision for them..."
