Acosta Danza Company is nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award from United Kingdom.

 The Cuban Company is nominated in the category Outstanding Achieved in Dance for the Laurence Olivier Award, the most prestigious award of the Performing Arts in United Kingdom.

Radio Enciclopedia refers that the dance group headed by Carlos Acosta was chosen by the choreography De punta a cabo, recreated from the original of Alexis Fernández (Maca).

The broadcasting station Radio Reloj published a note saying that the dance group headed by Carlos Acosta was chosen by the choreography De punta a cabo, recreated from the original of Alexis Fernández (Maca).

The production is part of the show Ciento por ciento cubano,  that  was performed at the theater Sadler’s Wells in London by Acosta Danza, last February.

The media specifies that the Cuban company is nominated in the same category of the Netherlands Dans Theater dancers, the choreographer Arielle Smith and the dancer Edward Watson.

The winners will be known next April.

Laurence Olivier awards is presented anually and is organized by the London Theaters Association and its categories involve plays, dance, opera and musical shows.
