The 45th Week of Culture in Plaza de la Revolución will take place between March 13 and 20, dedicated in this opportunity to several institutions celebrating closed anniversaries.

Radio Coco mentions as motivations for the commemoration: the 60th anniversary of the Union of Young Communists, the same age of the University Reform, the 90th anniversary of the Lopez Serrano Building, the 45th anniversary of the Plaza House of Culture and the 10th birthday of the OM Meditation group.

Harold Vergara, local municipal director of Culture, explained to this newspaper that "the four communities in transformation will have cultural activities every day".

He commented that next March 16 the awarding of the Plaza Distrito Cultural distinction, the highest recognition of culture in this territory, will take place at the José Martí Memorial.

"We are working, he added, on the presentation of a magazine, both digital and printed, which will also bear the title Plaza Distrito Cultural."
