Thanks  to fast and effective acting of the agents of the Ministerio del Interior(MININT) it was possible to solve the criminal case that took place at the Gas Station(CUPET)placed in Lacret, when an individual threatened with a fire arm to the worker of the unit and stole cash from the register box to run away after that.

According to a note published by MININT, the worker of the Gas Station, Alfredo Pérez Cruz, who were on his night shift at his working place, at Lacret and Juan Delgado, saw a man approaching the gas station, carrying a gun, breaking a glass, broking into the facility while intimidating him and opening the register to steel the cash in it. After that, the perpetrator not only took the cash but also flew away in the worker´s electric motorbike that the had parked outside the gas station.

A police car that was patrolling the area detected the felon and when they noticed he was evading them, a chase started up to Loma del Chaplin, where the criminal, standing in front of the stairs of the place, abandoned the motorbike and in order to get away with robbery, started tossing the money to the air and ran away through the dark.

Guillermo Ivon Martínez González, operative officer in the case, explained that traces and traces of smell were extracted from the stolen motorbike by the forensic examiners and once they were run through the system brought a positive match to a citizen with criminal records.

The same way, the investigation work performed in the residence area of the criminal allowed the police officers to capture the felon in the streets. ¨During the instruction process, the accused admitted had perpetrated the felony, and some others, associated to this modus operando consistent on breaking in Cupet facilities, intimidate workers with a firearm and getting the collect of the register¨.

Martínez González added that during the investigation started with the Lacret event it was demonstrated a link between this act and the ones happened in the Cupet at 100 and 50, in the municipality Cotorro and the one located at the Guanabo intersection.

The victim, Alfredo Pérez, expressed its appreciation to the immediate and professional acting of the police system which, within few hours, solved the case and got his electric motorbike and the stolen cash back.
