Nine million 880 thousand 844 Cubans, which represents 89.2 percent of the population, have received the complete vaccination schedule against Covid-19, the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) reported on Monday, February 28.

According to the official website of the Minsap, 10 million 608 thousand 45 citizens received one dose from the national immunizers, nine million 373 thousand 568 have already received the second dose, and nine million 52 thousand 510 the third dose.

It also specifies that with the Cuban Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala vaccines, the country accumulates 34 million 988 thousand four doses administered.

Cuban immunogens are safe and without serious adverse effects.

The strategy is implemented in a staggered manner, aimed at achieving greater protection against new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

According to Cuba's National Statistics and Information Office, the island's population at the end of 2020 was about 11 million 180 thousand inhabitants.
