The Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, will take part in the High Level Thematic Debate about world vaccination against Covid -19, that will be hold in the General Assembly of the United Nations, today. 

Cuba developed three vaccines and two vaccinal candidates against the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, causing this disease and is at the world vanguard in the immunization process of the population. 

According to the Ministry of Public Health nine millions 871 thousand 746 people have the complete vaccination scheme, (Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala), which represents 89,1 percent of the population.

A number of 10 million 601 thousand 59 had had at least one dose last Monday, now nine million 368 thousand 759 have had the second dose already and a nine millions 46 thousand 835 had a third one. 

A number of five million 867 thousand 673 people have the reinforce shot against the pandemic.

To summarize, 34 million 884 thousand 614 doses of the Cuban inmunogenous nationally produced, were administered in the country

According to the official figures, the island has the incidence of Covid-19 under control, while the data on lethality are lower than the ones reported in Latin America and in the world.
