Prior the celebration, the First Secretary of the Party, Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, the Governor of the City, Reinaldo García Zapata, accompanied by the vice ministry of Food Industry, Lázara Mercedes López Acea, learned this Tuesday about the progress made with the renovation and constructive plan carried out in the area.

Intendent Karelia Marrero Arrechea and directives of the main entities explained that 35 constructive works are scheduled, of them, 22 are placed in the area from Guaicanamar Park to Regla´s Embankment.

One of the priorities has been the attention to Regla´s Historic Center that covers actions that are being carried out at Martí street.

In that sense, Torres Eibar alerted that the deadlines for the completion of these projects must be met due to the excellent conditions for the works to be finished on time so that, on March 3rd, the town will be in conditions to the level of the celebration.

Likewise, he pointed out, that work must be carried out at a high rhythm to conclude the most complexes and emblematic tasks, like the Hostel, the Casa de la Cultura and the Museum, that will define the real change Regla needs to experience.

The First Secretary asked the provincial entities to daily follow up the works and to find a solution to the problems might came up.

Tatiana Viera Hernández, coordinator of the Objectives and Programs of the Government of Havana, mentioned the different activities planned, among them highlighted activities with children, at Céspedes Theater.

The Company The Little Green Man, which is also celebrating its tenth anniversary will perform, together with a parade of the guaracheritos of Regla, at the Embankment and as it is traditional, a homage paid from the rumba to Yemayá.

Recreational activities will take place in all the sport areas, led by instructors and Physical Education teachers while a Commercial Fair will be taking place with a great variety of products.

Regla´s concert band will perform, at Guaicanamar Park, as an opening event for the celebration.
