Under the slogan Leer es crecer (Reading is development) the 30 edition of the International Book Fair of Havana will take place from April 20th to 30th, in its usual venue, Parque Histórico Militar San Carlos de La Cabaña and in the historical center of the capital.

This time the meeting will be dedicated to the centenary of the birth of Carilda Oliver Labra and Jesús Orta Ruiz (el Indio Naborí), 120 anniversary of the birth of Nicolás Guillén, 140 years since the publication of the anthology Ismaelillo, of José Martí, and of the novel Cecilia Valdés, of Cirilo Villa Verde or la Loma del Ángel, and the invited country will be Mexico.  

It is the most important event of the Cuban editorial sector, writers, editors, translators, illustrators, designers, and the public in general to enjoy a space for the exhibition, learning and cultural exchange, business, marketing and promotion of Cuban and foreign literature.
