With the seat at Cultural Society José Martí, the youth´s cultural movement founded by the leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz 17 years ago, will celebrate a generational meeting in order to highlight the legacy of the founders and members of the BJM.

Other commemorative actions of the Day, will be the inauguration of the exhibition Brigadista soy at the Community Cultural Center Belén and the re-opening of the Casa de la Cultura Olga Alonso, who became a referent as art instructor and theater teacher for her memorable achievements in the first National School of Arts Instructors(ENIA).

Since 2004, the Art Instructors Brigade develops appreciation processes, creation and promotion of art and literature, through the development of workshops divided by specialties and standing at the vanguard in the defense of the culture of the Caribbean nation.

In Cuba, every February 18, the contribution of the casas de cultura, schools and communities is honored, following the premises about the true call and natural talent stated by the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz.
