The homage started last Monday and will last till next February 25 and will include the presentation of the documentary Intructor artista, the inauguration of the collective photograph exhibition Brigadista soy, as well as creation workshops, dialogues between generations and a Tweet as part of the activities created under this aim.

From 14 to 25 of February it be celebrated, in-person and in virtual spaces, the Day of the Art Instructor, in order to homage those professionals dedicated to the teaching of arts appreciation and development, forgers of spirituality.

Emilio Toledo Mirabal, president of the Brigada José Martí, stressed out that this will be the perfect scenery for stimulating the work of art instructors in the communities, casas de cultura (places destined to disseminate values in regard with arts appreciation and dissemination through free of charge workshops designed for people in the communities to participate) and educational institutions.

The presentation of the documentary Intructor artista, the inauguration of the collective photograph exhibition Brigadista soy, as well as creation workshops, dialogues between generations and a Tweet will be part of the activities created for this purpose.

Vulnerable communities will be summoned to participate in this day and tribute will be paid to Olga Alonso who graduated from the first Art Instructors School in whose honor this Day was constituted.
