1908.  Renée Potts is born in Havana.

She graduated at Escuela Normal para Maestros in 1927. She studied Diplomatic and Consular Law, at the University of Havana, for two years between the years 1932 and1935. By that time, she started collaborating in periodic publications and wrote his plays “El amor del Diablo” and “Habrá guerra mañana”. She was the director of “Mundo Infantil”, a children magazine and an editor of “Revista Romances”, she collaborated with El Mundo, Avance, El País, and Ellas, as well.  She wrote puppet theater for television and was coauthor of reading texts for the Ministry of Education. She died on December 31st, 1999.   

1940. Pastor Vega is born in Havana.

He started in the Company Teatro Estudio when he was 18 years old and was one of its founders. The academy was led by the brother and sister Vicente Revuelta and Raquel Revuelta. He took part , as an actor of this group , of "Mundo de Cristal", " Tupac Amaru" and "Madre Coraje", among others. 

He had other responsibilities besides being a film director. He was among the founders of the Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano in 1979 and headed its first twelve editions. 

He was also one of the founders of the Escuela Internacional de Cine, Televisión y Video.

He died in the Cuban capital on June 2nd, 2005.
