Cuba keeps its implication for development in 2022

Alejandro Gil, Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, mentioned that Cuba keeps its implication for development in a quarter percent its gross domestic product, in 2022. During his appearance on the radio and television program Mesa Redonda, he stated that in spite of the tense and exclusive economic situation that our country is facing, the results of January and the plans for February and March points at the consolidation of a gradual recovery.

Gil explained that in the first month of the year 86 thousand tourists from different countries visited Cuba, it is a much higher figure to the 22 thousand that visited the island in the same period of 2021.     

Likewise, he said, as an example, that the agricultural sector shows advances as a result of the measures implemented, which can be seen in the figure of thirty thousand more of agricultural products stockpiled in January compared to the precedent year.

The Prime Minister said that in spite of the international situation Cuba is going forward as a whole, regarding its economy recovery and opening. He also added that we are not going back, its only that there is a favorable situation.
