The instability of a stationary front over the western region of Cuba caused the occurrence of a waterspout, which according to users of social networks penetrated the area of Tarará and Guanabo in the capital of the country.

This event has reported damages such as falling trees, partial collapse of two houses, damage to light roofs, trees and power lines. Around 10:30 a.m., the waterspout penetrated land and became a weak tornado.  Due to the advance of the tenth cold front to the island during this season, this instability caused the occurrence of a Severe Local Storm on the eastern beaches of Havana, in the vicinity of Guanabo and Boca Ciega.

Empresa Eléctrica reported that one circuit, two poles and 5 transformers were damaged. Three percent of customers, around 200 people, are affected. In this regard, all municipal and provincial support forces are guaranteed. Work is being done to repair the damage in the shortest possible time.
