Buses donated by Japan support transportation service in the Municipality of Regla.

The proverb says, no man is a prophet in his own land. I can assure you that this time the wish of the people from Regla came true, in the middle of a difficult situation regarding public transportation. The busses are needed to transport thousands of people who commute to study or work in the center of Havana and even to the municipalities far from the periphery.

The new buses of the brand Izuzo, given as part of the bridge of solidarity of the Japanese people, light up the faces of my compatriots, the moment they see the buses coming and can get into them.  From now on these buses are the ones given mobility to the territory.

My neighbor says: “they are very good” and I can see the happiness in her face, as if she was given a present. And in a way it is. We have received the support of interconnection of Regla with other municipalities after almost two years of the pandemic COVID-19.

Sceptisism is far from the positive comments. Although it it true that they will not resolve all the problems because there are some vehicles distributed in different terminals, at least bus stops will not be a forgotten waiting room. Some of the people over sixty remember the buses of the brand Hino, Japanese as well.

We are in a way, linked to a country that for years has helped with technology, specifically the electronic. That is why I smiled when a passenger said:” they are so comfortable that can be driven by remote control”. This is an exaggeration, but is worth anyway.
