¨If you want to improve your Psychology culture and skills to value fine arts: this is the place ¨. The Bachelor of Psychology, Marian Arango Rodriguez, leader of the project Psychology + Art using this phrase, tries to get everyone interested in learning about these special branches, together. The relation between these subjects are shared by specialists, followers and artists who take part in this project, which relates knowledge and life from different contents published in its Telegram Channel. The leader of this project is also supported by the Center Habana Espacios Creativos at the Office of the Historian of Havana City.

Why Psychology +Art?

There is always a question for the project: What can Psychology and Art do for the development and the human well- being? Contemporary societies are really convulsed, psychologists would say, schizophrenic. Man needs save and healthy spaces to grow and this project creative team bet to mix the psychological science and all the arts in that purpose. 

When did the project emerge? 

The origin of the project is in the time when I was a student at the School of Psychology at the University of Havana. The Culture Festivals encouraged me to approach art and those were ways to satisfied needs. After my graduation and working in the post of deputy director of Cultural Management at the Office of the Historian of Havana City, I had the chance to formally present the project. The Center Habana Espacios Creativos opened its doors for me. I will always be grateful of Katia Cardenas, Arian Mayor and Adriana Fernandez.

According to Marian Arango the content is addressed to psychologists, artists, creators and to everyone interested in the proposal. It has a group in Telegram where the participants can exchange and analyzed the content that has been published. The team of the project says that its attraction is precisely, the connection between Psychology and Art and the search for impact from highly scientifically supported contents that are expression of beauty as well.
