Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba (Folkloric of Cuba) returns to the stage in the National Theater.

 

 

As part of the actions developed to celebrate the six decades of the creation of the Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba, next May 7th, it was designed a wide program that includes a presentation, on February, at the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater.

For the occasion, the prestigious Company developed a concert-program under the mane From Cuba, its rhythms that inserts samples of the work performed by its artists in approaching the musical and dancing manifestations that built the national Cuban identity.

Among the plays to be enjoyed there are the known Abakuá, Yanza, Obatereo,Tumba Francesa, Gagá, Danzas populares and themes from popular Cuban tones.

Likewise, the remarkable choreographer Manolo Micler, National Award of Danceb2017, will bring back Guerrero (Warrior), play that has been long time out of stages.

Tickets for the event will be available at the National Theater from Tuesday, February 22nd.

The show is programed for February 25,26 and 27 at the regular opening time of the Avellaneda Hall (Fridays and Saturdays, 8:30pm and Sundays, 5:00pm)

Founded in 1962 by the Cuban folklorist Rogelio Martínez Furé and the Mexican choreographer Rodolfo Reyes Cortés, this company has developed an artistic style that get to the stages the most genuine of the Cuban folklore, reflecting the traditions from their Hispanic, Africans origins, or from other regions.

At the same time the company expresses through chanting, rhythms and dances the contemporaneity of the popular creations as the Son, the Mambo, the Danzón, musical genres developed by peasants and rumba.

The CNFC is on charge of fulfill the mission of preserve, disseminate this cultural treasure in the musical and dance field, under the aim of make a selection of those cultural ways
