The Governing Council of the People's Supreme Court, by means of Agreement 277, determined to modify the denomination, seat and competence of the structures of the courts of justice in Cuba.

The provision, published in the Official Gazette number 10, Extraordinary, responds to the modifications introduced by the Laws of the Courts of Justice, of the Code of Processes, of the Administrative Process, of the Criminal Process, approved on October 28, 2021 by the National Assembly of People's Power.

The legal document determines that the governing councils of the courts will periodically evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the implementation of the agreement in each jurisdictional structure and support units and, after one year, will report to the Governing Council of the Supreme People's Court.

The approval of Agreement 277 is aimed at guaranteeing a quality judicial service, focused on meeting the expectations of users and other stakeholders, in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic and other regulatory provisions, according to the text, which is available at: https://www.gacetaoficial.gob.cu/sites/default/files/goc-2022-ex10.pdf.
