Banmet mobile application adds new features.

 

 Banco Metropolitano launched a new version of its Banmet mobile application that incorporates new features for its almost two million customers in the capital.

Yelegny Fernández Castro, general director of Electronic Banking of this financial institution explained to the Cuban News Agency that the mobile tool is available in APKlis and offers access to information on products and services of the entity with more than 120 offices in Havana.

The new version updates this year retiree pay schedule, account interest rates, commission rates and other charges.

Fernández Castro turned out that it incorporates information on the new account modalities of Summer Savings and Savings for Tomorrow.

It also provides information on account opening and financing services for private products, in the context of the creation of new non-state economic actors.

Another novelty is the inclusion of information on digital payment services and Extra Cashier Service, the latter is being gradually implemented in the capital and will allow cash withdraws in commercial units, pharmacies and markets, said the general director of Electronic Banking.

Regarding the entity´s remittance banking platform, Metropolitano online, she said that its use will be extended to individuals before the end of the first quarter of the year, after the completion of the test phase.

So far the tool is available to legal entities, but the new possibility will offer the population an easy access way to obtain banking services on the Internet, such as the payment of the basic services and traffic fines, will allow to make bank transfers, manage other bank accounts and learn about all the operations that are performed from them.

Banco Metropolitano in correspondence with the banking system, enhanced electronic banking system last year, an objective that expands in this 2022 through commercial policies that stimulate the circulation of cash, according to the digital transformation that Cuba demands.
